Mary and Joseph

With the launching of our first Youtube video (see below),  I am reminded of how God does not call perfect people for His purpose.  It is evident, Dan and I are not professional dancers or speakers and I am not an expert writer. When watching the video, Dan said, ”Do we always look that stiff?”  : ) 

When I first felt the calling to do a ‘Dance with Me Ministries’ blog, I was thinking, I have no idea on how to do this.  It seemed daunting and even frightening at times.  I remember the day the blog went live, I began to feel anxious inside. How do we do this?   It took a bit of coaxing to get Dan on board with the blog and video idea. It is scary to be dancing on the world wide web.  I knew I couldn’t do the ‘Dance with Me Ministries’ blog or video alone. (Thank you Dan for being my dance partner and chief editor!) 

We are thankful that God gives us everything we need for the task He has set before us.  We humbly give our lives to His calling! 

With it being Christmas day, we can take a look at Joseph and Mary.  Two imperfect people that loved God.  They were called to a huge undertaking.  To raise God’s son. Wow!  I can only imagine they had a few worries and I’m guessing they had a few sleepless nights.   They probably said, “We are so imperfect.  We are just teenagers. How can we do this?”  They were most likely anxious  and frightened.   I think Joseph needed a little coaxing also.     Can you imagine holding God in your arms?  Incredible!  

God gave them everything they needed for the calling set before them.  They humbly gave their lives to raise Jesus. 

You may have a yearning to walk out in an area of ministry that you feel God has put on your heart.  You might say, “I am not good enough”, or, ”I have no idea what I am doing”, or “I can’t do that“  But God loves using imperfect people.  He will give you strength and walk alongside you during your journey if you simply take your first step in faith.  Ephesians 3:20(NIV) Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.

 Let 2021 be a year to step out in faith and you will do amazing things for Him.  When it is frightening, then step aside and see God do His amazing work!!!
